1. “online”（一个单词）

• The store offers online shopping for all customers.
• Please make sure your device is online before syncing.
2. “on line”（两个单词）
词性：介词短语 含义：主要有两种用法：
在美国英语中，常表示“排队”（= in a queue）；
在技术语境中，偶尔用于表示“正在运行/投入使用”（较少见，多被 online 取代）。
• There were ten people on line at the ticket counter.（美式英语）
• The new server will go on line next week.（技术用法，但更常说 go online）
3. 常见误区
❌ 错误：I am on line now.（想表达“我在线”）
✅ 正确：I am online now.
❌ 错误：Please wait in the online.（想表达“请排队”）
